manual /reonnect did not issue /join commands

Description
After hitting #317 I tried a /reconnect in the frontend, in the server tab I saw a succesful reconnection but the channels were still dead (no messages, no userlist). Manual /join did not work either (known bug), /quote join #channel did work as a workaround, but in this situation even just /quote join ONE channel did bring all other channles back to life.
