Changing nick to an existing one will result in a fallback nick

Description
When you are registered on a IRC server and then try to change your nick to one that is already used then will change your to a fallback nick. Say I am logged on with "meebey" and then try to change my nick to "foo" which is already in use, then it will change the nick to "meebey_" which is pretty annoying when you try to get a nick back because it was already for some reason (like after a reconnect with an active ghost).
