Smuxi

The buffer is only saving a certain amount of lines. The logging feature instead is saving all lines in a text file, as well you can search for strings within the log.

Additionally you may tell Smuxi to also log the messages you don't want to be displayed in the frontend. What happens you ignore someone, but actually there's an interesting discussion ongoing, which you want to follow? Just have a look into the logs.
