Description

Hello, please store the passwords in the system keyring using the cross-platform libsecret.

I am not sure if there is a C# library for libsecret, but you could use the secret-tool program as a subprocess to do the work for you.

Something like

secret-tool store --label="Smuxi password" protocol IRC network irc.freenode.net account infinity0
secret-tool lookup protocol IRC network irc.freenode.net account infinity0

If the API of libsecret is simple enough it can be p/invoked directly from Smuxi. But using and shipping this library on Mac and Windows will be troublesome. Also this probalby only makes sense for standalone frontends (local engines).
