Good point, especially as it completely modifies the way the UI behaves. I will talk with the designer about this.

13:49:27 <me4oslav> meebey: well, we do it like this. Add a tooltip to explain what it does and add a message box that will popup to say what it does if enabled via F8
13:50:03 <me4oslav> for GTK 3 if the treeview is anything more than a bunch of vertical GTK notebooks we can have it in it
13:50:30 <meebey> me4oslav: only when enabled for the first time?
13:50:44 <meebey> me4oslav: or dialog with "no longer show this" checkbox?
13:50:48 <me4oslav> meebey: with a checkbox "Don't show me this message again"
13:51:05 <me4oslav> that dialaog and the tooltip should suffice for now
13:51:14 <meebey> me4oslav: sounds ok to me, I always wanted built-in hints/help anyhow
13:51:19 <meebey> would be the first of that kind
