Channels are not well-ordered on server join

Description
When starting the server connection process - either on initial smuxi-engine connection, or when connecting to a new server - the channels are not displayed in the order specified in the IRC server's preferences window.
Worse, when starting up the smuxi-engine, the channel tabs and server tabs are not associated at all - the channels from multiple servers are interleaved and the server tabs bear no obvious relation to the channels.
This does not appear to be deterministic.

This is using smuxi-server from the Launchpad PPA as of 30/11/2011 and smuxi-frontend also from the PPA as of 5/12/2011.
