Description
Shortcuts, like F7, F11 and Ctrl+Page Up/Down, gets disabled when hiding the Menubar #436. They are even more important without the menu. gnome-terminal had the same issue but resolved it somehow.
Possible solution/dirtyfix is to resize the menubar to height 0 instead of toggle Visible, or look at gnome-terminal's code...
